Our Ask An Aesthetician program formerly launched this week and our aestheticians are available to take your skincare and beauty questions via video or phone.
“Any kind of skincare or beauty questions?” you ask. Yes! If there is something you need to know about your skin, products, best colors to use, etc. – you’ll want to book a complimentary (and confidential) session.
Some examples of video questions and calls we’ve received include:
Q: I think my mascara is making my eyes water. Why?
A: Sometimes over-the-counter mascara will make your eyes water because it contains low quality
fillers which is causing an allergic reaction.
Q: After applying my makeup, I get dry patches on my skin. Any suggestions?
A: Exfoliation is your friend! After exfoliating, use a moisturizing mist (VirginN makes one, check it out here) to hydrate your skin and set your makeup.
Q: My eyeshadow does not last throughout the day, and I don’t have time to reapply. What should I do?
A: It’s best to use a primer on your skin, which will help your makeup, including your eyeshadow last longer. Also, use a higher quality product. Cheaper eyeshadow a tend not to last as long.
